Từ ngày 30 tháng 6 năm 2012, ETS chính thức ngừng cung cấp bài thi SLEP (The Secondary Level English Proficiency). Thay vào đó, bài thi TOEFL® Junior™ sẽ được dùng để đánh giá trình độ sử dụng tiếng Anh như một ngoại ngữ cho học sinh bậc trung học cơ sở có độ tuổi từ 11-15 tuổi.
